David W. Stewart is a Florida author, resident since 1941. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1959, and worked forty years in the aerospace industry as a control systems engineer and manager. He was an active member of the launch teams for the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and Space Shuttle programs. In 1996, Stewart retired and owned and operated a private consulting firm, L&D Consulting, which specialized in business proposals and grant preparation. Stewart began writing in 1967 and has received several awards both for writing and for his contributions in environmental conservation, economic development, education and literacy. The American Biographical Institute included him among the 1,000 leaders of world influence for the new millennium. David published his first novel, Psychic Redemption: Spiritual Quest for Truth, in 2009. He based the character Julie on his daughter who was murdered in 1979.

Margaret A. Kinslow: Margie has a passion for teaching Reading. She is a Reading specialist with over 25 years experience teaching students from Kindergarten to 11th Grade. Her husband Michael supports her in her volunteer work. Their kids Kristin and Jarrett have given them 8 awesome grandchildren. Margie has served 3 ½ years as Director and President. She is thankful for the opportunity to promote literacy skills in our community by working with caring and generous volunteers and serving appreciative adult learners.

Pamela K. Gheen: Pam is enjoying her retirement after working for FPL over 37 years. She now uses her administrative skills in our office. She is very happy to be part of our program. She enjoys meeting new people and working with our students and tutors. She has the huge job of being in charge of our inventory. She has been a volunteer and the secretary for our Board for 2 ½ years. Pam is single. She has 2 adult daughters and 2 sweet grandchildren in California.
